  1. Generic Presentation Evaluation
1.What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
To explain why marijuana should be legalized. He had two reasons which were medical uses of marijuana, and reducing the black market. The purpose of the speech and main points were clearly addressed as the speaker had a clear organization of his speech with good transitions.

2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
The speaker began his presentation with a question that was relevant to the topic, “What comes to your mind when you think of legalizing weed?” I think it was effective because the presenter asked a question about one of the well-known controversial issues that students would be interested. I think it would have been better if he had some audience to actually respond to his question to make the presentation seem more lively and interactive.

3.Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
The structure was logical. The presenter suggested specific examples in U.S. and research findings which were all relevant to the points that he was making. Also, clear use of transitions such as “first”, “second”, and “for these reasons” helped the audience to follow the structure of his presentation.

4.Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
The conclusion was concise. The speaker restated his thesis once more in the end to make his points clearer. Also, he related his thesis in the conclusion to the main points he introduced during the presentation. I believe the closing could be improved by making a more memorable closing such as introducing a quote or using a bit of humor.

5.Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids,
The speaker did not have visual aids, but the organization of the presentation was clear enough to understand. Because he had lots of specific examples with surprising facts, it appealed to the general interest of the audience. I think the speaker prepared well in choosing his topic and coming up with the main points.

6.What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
The speaker kept on looking at the camera which made me feel like he was telling his story in front of me. His posture was good, and his use of gestures throughout the presentation was appropriate and well done.

7.Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
I think the volume and tone of his voice were good. However, I felt that his speech rate is a bit fast for the presentation that required careful explanation. It was difficult to understand some of his words as he sometimes spoke at a speed of natural conversation. Also, I think the speaker can speak up a bit more to make his presentation more intelligible and powerful.

1.What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    - Purpose of the speech is argue that weed has to be legalized. To support the idea, the speaker gave two reasons and it was addressed logically.

2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    - Asking people about the topic was an effective hook. What if he did not paused right in the middle of his first sentence?

3.Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
-It was quite logical that the presenter offered two opinion why weed has to be legalized. He also gives specific examples of other countries and advantages in legalization of weed. There were no problem within transtion, also.

4.Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
-It was good but since he gave us only two reasons it was very short. I would have been better if any further remarks or suggestions were made about the topic.

5.Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids,
    - None of the above but some pausing in between sentences.

6.What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    - It seems that he is making unnecessary hand gestures many times. He is also looking downward too often, as if he is checking memo cards.

7.Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    - He enunciated and pronounced very clearly and I was able to understand everything very well. Maybe the speaker can slow down a little bit next time!

    Title :
    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    - He argued that marijuana should be legalized. He has two main reason for stating his point(medical, positive effect). It has logical relation so he successfully address his point.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    - It has a hook, the form of asking, the asking is about the direct topic, what do you think about legalizing the marijuana. and I think it can be improved by adding expected answer for that, which can start the supporting sentences smoothly.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    - As I mentioned, the main point has logical relationship with two main reasons, and there are examples of many countries which use of the marijuana. It is clear I think.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    - He restates his main idea with simple sentence, so the conclusion is concise, but It is not memorable in my opinion. The length is short, so it is hard to make conclusion memorable. It has very simple and logical structure.

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    - He didn't use all of them. and especially, the pauses can make this presentation more improved. It is lacking point of this presentation.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    - body languages are ineffective in this video, he often look down, and movements with no relationship with the presentation. It can be improved with more stable posture.

    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    - As I mentioned, the volume is small but he spoke clearly. I can understand his point and reasons, but if he get slow in his presentation, the volume can be improved, and the understanding of audience can be improved, too!
