    The person who I admire

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    - To explain the person he admires most. Abraham Lincoln is the person he admires most addressed quite strightly
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    - There wasn’t quite a hook. It could’ve been better if he put a video or better pictures
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    - Yes, He explained about why he admires this person giving his own thoughts and examples
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    - The conclusion was concise and I liked it how he mentioned, how the character and himself are similar
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids,
    - Yes he looked enthusiastic and was very calm while speaking.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    - Very calm and natural eye contact and gestures.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    - The volumes was okay, maybe it could’ve been better if it was a bit louder but I think that is due to technological problems. Everything was spoken well and clearly

    2nd Major assignment
    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    Latin America has a great potential to achieve economic growth.
    First, there are a lot natural resources especially mineral resources and fossil fuels. Second, cheap labor cost.
    But most of Latin American countries remains not much developed. So they are now cooperating to make virtual development.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    Definitely. He triggered curiosity to the audience, by asking them questions which words come to their mind. Moreover, when he mentioned ‘Samba’, he even moved his body! It was effective and intriguing.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    The presenter gave exact examples in detail, explaining actual situations in several Latin American countries. Also he used good transitions, like ‘first’, ‘second’. The ideas were well linked between each other.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    Yes it was. The main points were restated. After he summarized his speech, he suggested that our nation cooperate with these Latin American countries to make breakthrough.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids
    I would say it was amazing. The speaker was passionate of what he was taking about and he delivered it in a very humorous way. I think he has a talent in interacting with the audience.
    Even though there was not much of visual aids, the speech was already enough to get the audience’s attention.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    The way he interacts with the audience was pretty impressive. He made proper eye contact, with natural gestures. I think posture was also good enough.

    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    Volume was fairly good. The speaker enunciated clearly his speech. There were several words that I could not get exactly, but overall, it was well delivered. Especially I want to compliment his confident attitude.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech? Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    You talked about the voting age, and how we should lower the age that are allowed to vote. It was well supported by your opinions, and it was very logical.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    I think your hook was interesting because you asked the audiences opinions before giving your speech. I think it was effective because it gives me a chance to think about your topic before I listen to your speech. Also it catches the audience’s attention.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    I think your structure was very well sorted out. I had no difficulty following your speech, and your ideas were linked well together. Also, your structure was in a very logic order, which made your speech more persuasive.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    I think your conclusion was strong. You emphasized your opinion once again, and it made me remember what you had been talking about. Your conclusion also rounded up your opinion as a whole, so I think it was effective.

    Your pauses were adequate, and they helped you to emphasize your main points. This actually helped me a lot to follow you through your speech, and find out what was important. You also seemed very persuasive in this speech, because your pauses made you look quite relaxed.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    You used your hand gestures, and they made me think your opinions stronger. I think holding them in fists when stressing your main points was great idea. But I think it might have been better if there were more various gestures. But it was great overall.

    I think your voice was very clear and loud enough for me to understand. Your tone was good, but I think it could have been faster at some points. But your speech was very audible, and I had no difficulty understanding your speech.

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    He introduced places in Spain, that he wants to go. He explained places and why he wants to go, and his accommodations to.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    There was no actual hook, but his presentation was nice without the hook.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    I think his logic was great, the content was really nice.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    His closing ment was a clear, and it reminded me the content he presented..

    There were enough enthusiasm, and visual aids.

    His gesture arouse my attention, and his eye contact and posture was really great.

    his volume, pronunciation, and delivery was really nice.

    He introduced the people who he admires and he states why he admires Abraham Lincoln with solid reasons.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    No, but it could have been much better if he had used some clearer visual aids with more fluent intonation of words he used.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    Yes it was. He suggested appropriate and detailed examples, explaining the reasons why he admire Abraham Lincoln.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    It was concise and manifest. The main points were briefly mentioned, and the closing part where he connected himself with the subject of the speech was quite memorable.

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    Yes he did. I could see he tried hard to put some humor in it and had put a lot of effort to the presentation.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    He showed many gestures, trying to make sure he was not standing too stiff. He made constant eye contact with the audiences. His overall posture and gestures were not distracting at all.

    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly?
    The volume was very clear, and even though he had made some pronunciation mistakes, it was not really bothering since his speech was delivered with much confidence.
