    (6. Organize Your Speech)
1.What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
To inform people of the side effects resulting from the use of GMO. There are three reasons why the presenter is against GMO. They may not be safe to eat, may harm crop diversity, and contribute to polarization. The overall purpose was well addressed because the presenter frequently implies that GMOs are bad.

2.Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
The speaker began her presentation with a question that was relevant to the topic, “What comes in your mind when you think of GMO?” I think it was effective because the presenter actually responded to some of the answers from the audience and there were some interactions. I think it would have been better if the speaker had taken a few steps forward closer to the audience as she was interacting with the audience.

3.Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
The structure was logical enough. The presenter used some examples and statistics to support her thesis. Also, clear use of transitions such as “first”, “second”, and “lastly” helped the audience to follow the structure of her presentation.

4.Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
The conclusion was concise: Don’t buy GMOs in the groceries. The presenter made a suggestion in the end with a quote saying, “Small changes will make big difference.” It would have been better if the presenter summarized her three main points in the end and had a more memorable conclusion.

5.Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids,
The speaker showed lots of enthusiasm in her preparation of visual aids and structured speech. The speaker had neat visual aids with lots of pictures to help the audience understand and she even had a short video clip to attract their attention in the beginning. The exchange of question and answer in the hook were also nice. The presenter also had appropriate pauses.

6.What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
The speaker frequently made eye contacts with people in the room. She looked at each person for appropriate amount of time and it seemed natural. The speaker sometimes used small gestures by pointing at her PPT slides.

7.Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
I think the volume and tone were fairly good but there were some parts that I could not understand probably because of some unclear pronunciation or a low voice. However, overall, I was able to understand most of the presentation.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
Yes, there was a movie trailed along with the questions to the audience. It was very intriguing and caught attention very effectively

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
She used visual aids, which helped the audience understand the points. I could see the enthusiasm she has about the topic and lot of interest in it as well. However, it could be nice if she includes humor too.
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
She did not move much during the speech , but it was natural and she maintained good eye contacts as she did not use the note cards.

    (My Great vacation Idea)
    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
The speaker want to go to India due to yoga and a book that inspired her to plan this vacation. I was well presented.
    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
No, there wasn't a hook. The speaker just explained the topic that she was going to talk about. She could have given a hook that would have caught the audience's attention.
    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
The overall structure was logical with a good flow. She also had concrete supports that nicely backed her topic.
    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
The conclusion was concise, however the main points were not restated or summarized. The closing was a little bit weak because it was too mild.
    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
The speaker used powerpoint slides to help the delivery. Although there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm, it was a calm presentation,
    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
The speaker did not have a lot of movement, however, she presented in a formal manner.
    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
The speaker used a microphone, which helped the audience to hear clearly and loudly. Although there were some buzzing noise, it wasn't disturbing enough to interfere with understanding the speaker.
