  1. Speaking Feedback
Title: Three lessons from this semester
    Speaker: Yunkyu, Shin
Evaluator: 201601578 Jaekyung, Seo (from TUES 11-13)
    Date: 17.05.29

Speech Value: I think your presentation topic was appropriate for college students like us. There were many things I sympathized with you as I listened to your speech. Also talking about your lessons were meaningful, too because I could also think about my semester and think about the lessons I learnt through this semester.

Preparation: I think you prepared very well. Your powerpoint slides prove this. They were well designed and prepared. Also, you seemed to speak calm which showed me that you had practiced before giving the presentation.

Organization: Your organization was really clear. You numbered your lessons and explained them in order. Also with those numbers clearly shown on your slides, it was very easy for me to follow. I think this is because your speech is organized well.

Opening: You started by asking a question. If my semester was worthy, or just a waste of time. This question is something that I talk with my friends often, and I think it was good to start with a common question to catch the audience’s attention.

Body: I liked your body because it was something I could feel sympathy in. They were also well organized and clear, so it was very easy to follow you through your speech. I also liked your little humors between the sentences. It helped me not feel bored during your body.

Conclusion: Your conclusion was very clear. You concluded up by telling the lessons you learnt through this semester. They were very well organized because I could see that you had listed them out on your slides.

Transitions: The transitions were natural. I didn’t feel any awkwardness when you moved onto the next topic. I think it was smoothly done.

What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
I think it was good as an over all, but I think it would have been better if you looked at your audiences bit more. You made good eyecontacts and your gestures were great, but I think it would be a little better to look more often. But it was great though.

What did you like about the presentation?
I liked your slides the most. I thought they were very clean and only had the information that was needed. Without any unnecessary things, it was very easy for me to follow along with your speech. I think this was one of your strongest points in this speech. And I also think that the adequate use of pictures and animations helped a bit.
