  1. Speaking Feedback
    Title: Presenting yourself finals
    Speaker: Jingyu, Choi
Evaluator: 201601578 Jaekyung, Seo (from TUES 11-13)
    Date: 17.05.29

Speech Value: I think it was quite interesting because I could learn about billiards easily. Also it is a hobby many people enjoy, so I think the topic’s value itself was good. Also the speech was well presented.

Preparation: You’ve seemed to have prepared well because the visual aids showed me that you had put lots of effort into it. Also you seemed to have memorized most of your speech which also shows that you had practiced.

Organization: The organizations were simple and easy to understand and keep up. I could see what you were talking about and what you were going to talk about.

Opening: Your opening was simple and clear. It helped me understand right away about what you were going to talk about. Your eye contact with your audiences at the opening was also great.

Body: Your body was well organized, and I liked how you used adequate visual aids. Especially the drawing was interesting, and I think it would help the audience a lot. It was unique too that you used drawings instead of pictures.

Conclusion: Your conclusion was also simple and easy to understand. You rounded up by talking about the billiard itself as a good hobby. I also liked your ending sentence. It showed the atmosphere of your topic.

Transitions: Your transitions weren’t awkward, and they were easy to follow.

What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
I really enjoyed your speech and I think it was great overall. However, if you had to change something, I think it would have been better if you stood a still bit more. Your gestures were good, but you seemed to move a little too much, and I think that could distract the audiences sometimes.

What did you like about the presentation?
I liked how you gave examples by actually doing it. I did play billiards before, but because I am not a good player, your showing helped me a lot to understand. It also helped me keep focus on your speech.
