Speech Value (Interesting, meaningful to audience) 2
    Preparation (Research, rehearsal) 2
    Organization (Logical, clear) 1
Opening (Attention-getting, led into topic) 2
Body (Flowed smoothly, appropriate support material) 2
    Conclusion (Effective) 2
    Transitions (appropriate, helpful) 2
What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
-I gave her high points on her preparation because I could notice that she has researched a lot of information about hamburger and its origin, but she could have done better by making more eye contact toward the camera or to the audience.
What did you like about the presentation?
-I liked the topic she chose because I was thinking the same topic for my presentation while I was eating mom’s touch. However, I was quite skeptical about hamburger despite that I have seen movie called ‘supersize me’ before, and now I’m somewhat convinced about that hamburger itself is not unhealthy fast food since its making process could be the main reason.

    • Speech Value : 1, The topic is light, interesting and easy to follow and also it has her opinion included(whether the burger is junk food or not).
    • Preparation : 2, She had good simple ppt slides and contents that went along well.
    • Organization : 2, I could tell that it was outlined clearly.
    • Opening : 1, started by question, which caught attention.
    • Body : 3, it was well organized with enough details, but I thought the history part was a little off-topic or she could have made stronger connection between the history and the burger becoming known as a junk food.
    • Conclusion : 2, strong and clear
    • Transitions : 2, appropriate transitions were used

    Speech value 4
: I also love hamburger and this topic was very fun to listen to
    Preparation value 3
: She had ppt however her eyes seem to be reading something and not keeping eye contact
    Organization value 4
: It is well organized as it begins with the question on topic, and history of burger, her answer and why she thinks so. This seems to be well organized
    Opening 4
: It is a very good opening as it questions what most people think.
    Body 4
:She gives very good empirical evidence and clear definition of what junk food is and why it isn’t so..
    Conclusion 3
: The conclusion seems a bit short, even though it has all essential information it seems a bit abrupt and no closing hook.
    Transitions 4
: With the usage of ppt, transition is very natural. There were some usage of conjunction and words such as “therefore” that connects the topics.
I think she could have made more eye-contact

    1. What was the overall purpose of the speech. Try to restate or summarize the main point. How well was it addressed?
    - This video is the video we watched in the class. It's about the hamburger often classified as a junk food. Her main point is the hamburger is not junk food. It is well addressed with virtual aids.

    2. Was there a hook? Was it effective? How could it have been improved?
    - the hook is the form of asking, about hamburger well known as junk food.

    3. Was the structure logical? Point supported by evidence or examples? Good transitions between ideas?
    - She use many materials to support her main point, and it is effective. The materials with virtual aids has logical relationship with her main point.

    4. Was the conclusion concise? Were main points restated or summarized? Was the closing memorable?
    - She restates her main idea in the end, but it is just repeating the main point. I think it can be improved by correcting the conclusion fully including the information of the materials which she used.

    5. Did the speaker use enthusiasm, pauses, humor, visual aids?
    - She used visual aids effectively, but the screen is little bit small to see. Her presentation also has pauses so I can understand her point with no obstacles.

    6. What did you notice about the speaker’s body language? Posture, eye contact, gestures.
    - She used little body language. It can be better with body language supporting seeing the materials she gave through the screen.

    7. Was the volume good? Did the speaker enunciate and pronounce clearly? Could everything be understood?
    - The volume is nice. She enunciate and pronounce clearly and easy to understand. The tempo of speech is nice, too
